V27-693 : SRB ROUND 5 - MARKET TOWNS BIDS

The report of the Chief Executive dealt with Suffolk County Council's bid for the Single Regeneration Budget Round 5 which covered the current rural Objective 5b area, including the market towns of Bungay and Halesworth.

The County had been offered 50% of the funding requested, and were about to undergo the process of re-writing the bid to reduce the spend accordingly. The report outlined the elements of the County Council's bid that applied to the Waveney area and proposed a position for the Council on the reduction of the bid.

RECOMMENDED

That the Council's position as outlined in the report of the Chief Executive in relation to the reduction of projects within the SRB Round 5 bid submitted by Suffolk County Council be endorsed.
