V27-68 : LOWESTOFT SEAFRONT AIR FESTIVAL

The report of the Director of Community Services set out the plans to date for the 1999 Lowestoft Seafront Air Festival, including a review of the financing of the event. A two day Air Festival was proposed, which would be bigger and better than the previous year's event, with two days of aircraft displays. These improvements in the Festival were possible due to an increased allocation in the European 5b Funding and the continued support of the Lowestoft Air Festival Committee.

RESOLVED

1. That the dates for the Lowestoft Seafront Air Festival be confirmed as Thursday 29 and Friday 30 July 1999.

2. That a budget commitment of £10,000 be allocated for the 1999 Air Festival.

3. That the dates for the Festival in the Year 2000 be confirmed as Thursday 3 and Friday 4 August.
