V27-61 : GROUNDS MAINTENANCE SERVICE - ANNUAL REPORT

The report of the Director of Community Services summarised the operation and achievements of the Grounds Maintenance Service during the year 1998/99 and set out initiatives for improving the service.

The Planning and Transportation Committee also considered this report at its meeting on 7 June 1999, and approved the recommendations.

RESOLVED

1. That the service improvements for the Grounds Maintenance Service detailed in the report of the Director of Community Services be adopted for future years.

2. That the employees in the Contracts Management Section, Community Services Department and Waveney Contract Services be congratulated on the standards of service provided.
