The report of the Director of Planning and Building Control detailed that the Public House had been boarded up for the past seven months. Former owners, Adnams, stated that it had three landlords in the preceding 18 months, and on the basis of beer sales alone could not support a viable income.

The Parish Council was saddened to see the loss of another village amenity, and the Director also reluctantly recommended approval.

RESOLVED

That planning permission be granted to application W1436/1.
