V27-597 : A/W343/3 - TRAVEL INN, 249 YARMOUTH ROAD, LOWESTOFT

Application for replacement signage and additional three metre totem sign.

The report of the Director of Planning and Building Control advised that one letter of objection had been received to the above application concerned with the impact of the totem sign by reason of its height. The Highways Agency had no objections subject to illumination of signs complying with guidance recommendations.

The Director considered the overall design of the new signs to be acceptable. Following negotiations the high totem sign had been replaced in the application by a much lower level sign similar to previously approved.

RESOLVED

That planning permission be granted to application A/W343/3, as amended.
