V27-574 : ROYAL LIFE SAVING SOCIETY

The report of the Director of Waveney Contract Services informed members that the Leisure Manager had been asked by the Royal Life Saving Society to assess the suitability of those responsible for the training of Beach Lifeguards and to validate associated operating and management systems. Those to be assessed were either employed by local authorities and/or voluntary bodies throughout the European Community.
This recognition was welcomed as it reflected on the professionalism within the Department.

RESOLVED

That the Leisure Manager be congratulated on his appointment by the Royal Life Saving Society as an assessor of Beach Lifeguard Trainers.
