V27-562 : GREEN APPLE AWARDS
The report of the Director of Housing and Environmental Services commented on the Council's success in the above National Awards, based on the environmental programmes undertaken by various Departments.
At the Award Ceremony in London, Waveney received the Silver Award for District Councils and congratulations on its revised Corporate Strategy, the reinstatement of Wellington Gardens and the new Material Reclamation Facility. The award was displayed at the meeting.
RESOLVED
That the success in being awarded the Silver Award in the Green Apple competition for Best Environmental Practice be welcomed, and all those concerned be congratulated on their efforts.
