V27-539 : RESPONSIVE REPAIRS BUDGET

The report of the Director of Housing and Environmental Services updated the position of the Responsive Repairs budget in the first four months of this financial year.

For jobbing repairs and voids, undertaken by WCS, the anticipated expenditure to the end of July 1999 was £310k. Projected over a full year this would be £945k, including a £15k carry forward from 1998/99, and on target for the £946 budget. However, it was stressed that expenditure in the latter half of the financial year was historically greater and an overspend was therefore possible.

For servicing/repair and replacement, undertaken by external contractors, the anticipated expenditure to the end of July 1999 was £162k. Projected over a full year this would be £486k against a budget of £512k, suggesting an underspend of £26k. RESOLVED
