V27-522 : MINOR PROJECT CAPITAL GRANT - SOUTHWOLD METHODIST CHURCH HALL

The report of the Director of Community Services outlined a request from the Southwold Methodist Church for a grant towards replacement of the roof of the Church Hall and part of the Church, at an estimated cost of approximately £21,000.

The applicants would raise £9,000 themselves and would look to a range of sources for the balance. It was estimated that the proportion of the cost relating to the Church Hall, which was the element of the application eligible for a Minor Project Capital Grant, was £15,000, and it was proposed that a grant of £2,500 to be offered, subject to the full funding package being achieved.

RESOLVED

That a Minor Project Capital Grant of £2,500 be offered to Southwold Methodist Church towards the replacement of the Church Hall roof, subject to the full funding package being achieved.
