V27-487 : CONSULTANTS REPORT ON STRUCTURE

The Panel considered the full report from Solace Enterprises Limited on The future Management and Political Structures of the Council.

In addition, a discussion took place on the feasibility of establishing a Standards Committee to deal with the standards of conduct for councillors, and it was felt that consideration should be given to setting up some interim arrangement ahead of the implementation of the new political structure.

RESOLVED

1. That the Policy and Resources Committee be recommended to approve the actions proposed within the report from Solace Enterprises Limited on The future Management and Political Structures of the Council.

2. That the Chief Executive be asked to place an item on the agenda of the Policy and Resources Committee to consider the establishment of a Standards Committee.
