V27-45 : BEACH ROAD/SURREY STREET, LOWESTOFT

ENVIRONMENTAL ENHANCEMENT SCHEME

The report of the Director of Community Services presented a revised scheme for the above area, taking into consideration members' comments, following the decision not to confirm the advertised Traffic Regulation Order at minute V26-1096. It was noted that land needed to be purchased from adjacent landowners to construct the mini roundabout in Surrey Street at the Britten Centre Car Park entrance which the scheme was dependant on.

RESOLVED

1. That the principal elements of the Beach Road/Surrey Street Environmental Enhancement Scheme be approved and the appropriate Traffic Regulation Orders be drafted and advertised.

2. That negotiations be commenced to acquire the necessary land in Surrey Street, Lowestoft.
