V27-438 : STAFFING OF MILLENNIUM EVENTS

The report of the Director of Community Services advised that appointments would shortly be made to the externally funded Millennium Festival Events Co-ordinator and Millennium Monitoring Officer posts, as agreed by Personnel Resources Sub-Committee on 6 July 1999.

Details regarding payments for staff over the Millennial holiday period had also been determined, and efforts had commenced to provide adequate staff and stewards to support, in particular, the Millennium Eve and First Day events.

RESOLVED

That arrangements for providing staffing for Millennium events proceed.
