Application for retention of temporary community hall - renewal of consent W15061/3.

The report of the Director of Planning and Building Control advised that permission for the above temporary building was first granted in April 1994 and renewed in 1996. A site had been identified within the Bloodmoor estate for a permanent community centre, and this was likely to be developed when developer funding became available, in approximately two years, and if current lottery funding applications were successful.

An objection had been received from an adjacent industrial unit concerning conflict between traffic and pedestrians and security. The Director recommended approval of a further temporary permission to 30 June 2002, and advised that planning conditions on the existing permission controlling noise and hours of use would be repeated.

RESOLVED

That planning permission be granted to application W15061/4, temporary until 30 June 2002.
