Application for two storey extension.

The report of the Director of Planning and Building Control advised that planning permission was granted in December 1995 for a front extension to the above property which had not yet been implemented. The current application was for an extension on the gable facing Pound Lane, the height of which would exceed the height of the original bungalow by approximately 400mm.

In principle the Director had no objection to the design of the extension, however he felt that if the previous application was also implemented then the two proposals would result in an overdevelopment of the site. He therefore recommended approval of the application, subject to revocation of the earlier application, which had been agreed by the applicant.

RESOLVED

That the Director of Planning and Building Control be given delegated authority to grant planning permission to application W12416/7, subject to the completion of a Section 106 Agreement revoking planning application W12416/5.
