V27-387 : W12341/6 - PART NORTH-EAST RUNWAY, ELLOUGH AIRFIELD, NORTH COVE

The report of the Director of Planning and Building Control concerned a retrospective application to retain a collection of large cylindrical tanks which were being stored on a former runway at the above. Although there was a history of open storage uses on the former airfield, the tanks were in an unacceptably prominent and exposed location. He recommended refusal and enforcement.

RESOLVED

1. That planning permission be refused to application W12341/6.

2. That the Chief Executive be authorised to take all necessary action to ensure the removal of the large cylindrical tanks from north-east runway of Ellough Airfield, North Cove.
