V27-383 : W5394/12 - LAND ADJACENT TO 54 STATION ROAD, CORTON
Outline application to construct a bungalow and garage.
The report of the Director of Planning and Building Control reminded members that two previous applications had been refused on the grounds of over-development of the above restricted site, at which a site visit had recently taken place. The bungalow now proposed would be in front of the adjacent property and very dominant and out of character in the street scene. A neighbour had objected concerning proximity of the bungalow to the boundary and loss of light.
The Director felt the proposal would result in overdevelopment of the site with inadequate private curtilages to the proposed and existing properties. The new dwelling would also unduly restrict the front and side outlook of the adjacent property and would be very dominant on the boundaries of the properties to the south and east. He recommended refusal.
RESOLVED
That planning permission be refused to application W5394/12.
