Application for change of use from residential to childrens' day nursery.

The report of the Director of Planning and Building Control outlined a proposal to provide full daycare provision between the hours of 8.30am and 5.30pm for 15 to 20 children, aged between three months and five years, Monday to Friday, at the above address. Up to five children at a time would use the small garden area.

Although the facility was to be welcomed, the Director felt that the proposal would have a significant adverse effect on the amenity of neighbouring properties, parking and highway safety. He recommended refusal.

RESOLVED

That planning permission be refused to application W17281.
