Application for amendment of opening time of market from 9am to 8am - variation of Condition 3 of W2761/43.

The report of the Director of Planning and Building Control advised that complaints had been received concerning traffic congestion and noise disturbance on Whites Lane early Sunday morning from people waiting to attend the car boot sale. The above application would allow cars to enter the site an hour earlier, and the Director considered that this could bring the disturbance forward an hour. He felt that, unless vehicles attending the boot sales could be accommodated on the site as they arrived, the application should be refused.

RESOLVED

That planning permission be refused to application W2761/48.
