V27-353 : HOUSING STRATEGY STATEMENT 2000/2003

The report of the Director of Housing and Environmental Services reminded members that the closing date for responses to the Draft Housing Strategy was 16 July 1999. The final version would reflect the comments of consultees where this was practical.

The Strategy supported the Council's Housing Investment Programme bid to the DETR for financial resources 2000/2001, which was required by the Government Office by 30 July 1999, and it was therefore necessary for the Director, in consultation with the Chairman, to be given delegated authority to approve the final version of the Housing Strategy.

RESOLVED

That the Director of Housing and Environmental Services, in consultation with the Chairman, be given delegated authority to approve the final version of the Housing Strategy 2000/2003.
