COASTAL TOURIST AREAS OF THE NORTH SEA REGION

The report of the Director of Community Services provided details of an Interreg IIC project to examine the opportunities and threats facing the coastal areas around the North Sea, which was being promoted by Norfolk County Council.

The aim of the project related well to the proposed actions from Waveney's tourism strategy and addressed many issues of concern in Waveney, and it was proposed that a commitment of staff time to the value of 10,000 Euros, approximately £6,700, be made.

RESOLVED

That the EU Interreg IIC Programme "Sustainable Development in Coastal Tourist Areas of the North Sea Region" be supported through a commitment of staff time to the value of 10,000 Euros, approximately £6,700, to be met from within existing budgets.
