V27-318 : REPLACEMENT WINDOWS IN CONSERVATION AREAS
The report of the Director of Planning and Building Control set out a Policy approach to assessing planning applications for replacement windows in Conservation Areas, following discussions by the uPVC Working Party as requested by this Committee.
RESOLVED
1. That the policy approach, using a point score system, for the replacement of windows in Conservation Areas, as set out in the report of the Director of Planning and Building Control, be adopted as Interim Council Policy as a basis for determining planning applications and enforcement cases involving replacement windows.
2. That all applications for replacement windows in Conservation Areas be referred to Development Control Committee during the trial period.
3. That a review be carried out after six months to assess the operation of the system and results reported to this Committee.
