V27-310 : LIMITED WAITING AREAS - RESIDENTS' PARKING ZONES, LOWESTOFT

The report of the Director of Community Services considered the removal of the Sunday restriction on limited waiting areas within the residents' parking zones in Lowestoft, as some residents had highlighted that they were under utilised.

Following a survey to determine Sunday usage, the Residents' Parking Working Party considered that the numbers were too low to warrant continuation of a Sunday restriction, and recommended that the limited waiting restrictions in the residents' parking zones be reduced to a Monday to Saturday restriction only.

RESOLVED

That, subject to no adverse comments from Suffolk County Council and the Police, the Chief Executive be authorised to advertise the de-restriction of limited waiting spaces in the Residents' Parking Zones in Lowestoft from the present seven day restriction to a Monday to Saturday restriction, and if no objections are received, to confirm the relevant amended Orders
