V27-297 : DISCRETIONARY RATE RELIEF
The Committee resolved that Breakout be granted 20% Discretionary Rate relief with effect from 1 April 1998 and that unpaid rates from 1 April 1997 be written off on the grounds of hardship under Section 49 of the Local Government Finance Act 1998.
The Committee also resolved that Kessingland Boatshed be granted 50% Discretionary rate relief with effect from 1 April 1998, and that Keriglen Rescue shop be granted 50% Discretionary rate relief for the period 1 April 1999 to 31 March 2000 only. (Para. 5)
