V27-260 : STAFFING ISSUES FOR THE MILLENNIUM
The report of the Director of Community Services advised that the matter of staffing at New Millennium evening events was the subject of a report by the Head of Personnel, and also of National negotiation. The outcome of either of these was not yet known, but a risk assessment would be conducted to determine required staffing levels, from that arrangements would be made for adequate staffing of events in line with any local or National agreement on payment.
RECOMMENDED
1. That, subject to negotiations in progress, staffing arrangements for Millennium Events be agreed by the Chief Executive, in consultation with the Chairman of the Personnel Resources Sub-Committee.
2. That a risk assessment be conducted for the New Millennium eve events, to assist in determining visitor numbers and consequently staffing levels.
