V27-251 : EAST SUFFOLK TRANSPORT PROJECT

The report of the Chief Executive outlined an approach for the Council to assist with the partnership funding of a transport bid for the rural East Suffolk 5b area, which was part of the Suffolk HEART Project.

The project would test innovative pilot solutions to rural transport problems over the next two years, with a view to mainstreaming the successful ideas. The Council had been asked to provide £6,000 over two years for this project which had a total value of £142,000.

RECOMMENDED

That a contribution of £3,000 per annum, for two years, be made for the East Suffolk Transport Project, to be met from the Rural Development Area Economic Projects Budget.
