V27-250 : THE COUNTRYSIDE AGENCY
The report of the Chief Executive described the background of the recently launched Countryside Agency and it's future role.
The Agency had been given additional programme funds by Government to launch new initiatives from this year on areas of social exclusion, the protection and management of Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and improving access to the open countryside and rights of way.
RECOMMENDED
That ways of influencing funding from the new Countryside Agency to the benefit of Waveney be explored as the Agency's new priorities emerge over the next 12 months.
