V27-209 : REVIEW OF MISCELLANEOUS ALLOWANCES AND PAYMENTS

The report of the Director of Central Services proposed increases to various allowances paid under the Council's Local Conditions of Service. The increases were in the order of 2.5% in line with the assumption made in the Council's 1999/2000 Budget.

RECOMMENDED

1. That the following revised allowances paid under the Council's Local Conditions of Service be introduced with effect from 1 July 1999:

Essential User Moped Allowance

(b) Mileage - Per Mile 6.9p 7.1p

Casual User Moped Allowance - per mile 7.5p 7.7p

Motor Cycle Allowance - per mile 12.5p 12.8p

Cycle Allowance - per mile 11.2p 11.5p

(b) Retirement Presentations

Value of gift per year of service: £8.90 £9.10

(c) Safety Clothing

Men's Safety Shoes £22.45 £23.00
Women's Safety Shoes £33.40 £34.25
Waterproof Jackets £16.70 £17.10
