V27-191 : W16982/1 - LAND ADJACENT TO SUNNYSIDE, TOAD ROW, HENSTEAD

Application to construct a dwelling and garage.

The report of the Director of Planning and Building Control outlined an application to construct one dwelling and garage on the above site, which at present formed part of the garden to the east of "Sunnyside". The site was smaller than that for which outline permission had been given for two dwellings in March 1998, leaving more residual garden space for "Sunnyside". The reduction to one dwelling also decreased the requirement for a new vehicular access onto Toad Row.

The proposed new dwelling was two storeys high, and was set back from the road with a detached garage to the rear of the plot, served by an existing access. The scale of the building had been dropped by half a metre, with better detailing, and the Director felt it would now fit well onto the site and recommended approval.

RESOLVED

That planning permission be granted to application W16982/1.
