V27-189 : W7322/8 - LAUREL FARM, HALL LANE, OULTON
Application for conversion of outbuilding to granny annexe.
The report of the Director of Planning and Building Control outlined an application to convert a single storey outbuilding on the above site to provide an annexe for the owner's mother, who was registered disabled. Additional openings, including a ramped access, were proposed in the east elevation, which would enable the main outlook to face towards the existing walled garden.
The proposed alterations were acceptable in design terms, and the outbuilding was in close enough proximity to the main house to be easily used as an extension when no longer required as an annexe.
There was an existing permission on the main barn for conversion to create a dwelling, and the Director felt that if the present application was granted permission, the consent for the barn conversion should be revoked. The applicants had agreed to this, and the recommendation of the Director was therefore for approval.
RESOLVED
That the Director of Planning and Building Control be given delegated authority to grant planning permission to application W7322/8, subject to a Section 106 Agreement to secure the revocation of application W7322/6.
