Application for erection of 83 dwellings with garages, roads and sewers.

The report of the Director of Planning and Building Control outlined the above scheme, which had originally involved 87 dwellings but had been reduced to 83 units to achieve an acceptable layout. One objection had been received due to the potential dominance of two storey development. Extra planting would be put in place, and the objector was now happy.

The scheme would complement the development already built under Phase 1 and approved under Phase 2. The Director recommended approval subject to conditions, including the afore-mentioned planting. Matters such as noise attenuation would be dealt with under the Section 106 Agreement attached to the original outline permission.

RESOLVED

That planning permission be granted to application W6791/29, subject to conditions including planting along the hedge on the rear boundary.
