Application to construct three terraced single storey dwellings with courtyards and garages.

The report of the Director of Planning and Building Control concerned an application for a terrace of three bungalows with steeply pitched gables. Development was constrained as the adjoining bungalows to the north had very small rear gardens, and consequently the proposed bungalows had been designed to maintain privacy levels and minimise overshadowing.

The Director felt that the proposed bungalows should be moved more centrally onto the site and neighbouring properties would be re-consulted on the amended application. The Director felt the scheme would create an innovative and potentially attractive addition to this part of Reydon, and recommended approval subject to re-siting and resolution of details, and no sustainable objections being received.

RESOLVED

That the Director of Planning and Building Control be given delegated authority to grant planning permission to application W17214/4, subject to re-siting, resolution of details and no sustainable objections of substance emerging before the expiration of the consultation period.
