Application for two storey rear extension.

The report of the Director of Planning and Building Control included a report of a site visit to the application. The Director felt the main consideration was the impact of the extension on No. 149, where the ground level was one metre lower than the application site. However, negotiations had seen the eaves and ridge height both reduced by one metre, and the property would just pass a `25% rule' on sunlight angles. On balance the Director recommended approval of the revised scheme.

Having viewed both properties on the site visit, members were divided in their opinion as to the impact the extension would have on the neighbour's outlook. A motion for refusal was defeated, and it was

RESOLVED

That planning permission be granted to the revised scheme for application W2071/2.
