Application for construction of a bungalow with integral garage.

The report of the Director of Planning and Building Control detailed that whilst the design of the proposed dwelling was acceptable, its construction would landlock just over a quarter of an acre of `brownfield' land which under present Government guidance could be used to accommodate several dwellings. On the basis of this the Director recommended refusal.

Although not all the land was in her ownership, members asked that the applicant be made aware of the possibility of a grander scheme for the site.

RESOLVED

That planning permission be refused to application W13170/5.
