V27-1519 : W7102/13 - BEACH FARM HOUSE, LONDON ROAD, LOWESTOFT
Application for storage of building materials - renewal of consent W7102/11. The report of the Director of Planning and Building Control detailed the protracted planning history of the site and its conflict with Policy E6 of the adopted Waveney Local Plan regarding the re-use of existing buildings in the countryside. The Director added that the report had omitted the most recent decision of February 2000 for the Chief Executive to seek an injunction.
All members declared receipt of lobbying material from the applicant. Members felt that with the arrival of the fast food chain and recent approval for a travel lodge nearby, a more sympathetic review of the application may now be justified. The Director reminded members that these were more leisure/tourism related activities, and that the access did not meet highway standards.
RESOLVED
That a site visit be made to the location of application W7102/13, and attendance authorised as an approved duty.
