V27-1498 : RIFLE HALL, HALESWORTH

PUBLIC ENTERTAINMENT LICENCE NO. 301 - VARIATION OF HOURS

The report of the Chief Executive advised that following approval at the January meeting of the Panel to vary the hours of the above Public Entertainment Licence on two occasions, the impact of these events had been assessed and found to be well run. However, a report had been received from the Hall Caretaker that during one of these events some damage had occurred to a toilet, and because of this the Police had withdrawn their approval. No complaints had been received from residents.

The Chief Executive and members felt the application could be made permanent, but wished events such as the two "discos" to be better stewarded.

RESOLVED

That the application to vary the hours of the Public Entertainment Licence for the Rifle Hall, Halesworth on Saturdays from 12 midnight to 1.00am be approved, subject to the Licence being Class A for "disco" type entertainments, and Class B at all other times.
