V27-1422 : EUROPEAN INFORMATION CENTRE SPONSORSHIP
The report of the Chief Executive outlined a new scheme entitled the "Waveney Export Initiative" that could be introduced locally as a joint venture with the European Information Centre/Business Link. The Scheme would assist small and medium business in the District to identify and develop their export potential. There was a keen demand for this service from local businesses and it would also complement the Government's drive to improve competitiveness.
RECOMMENDED
That the Waveney Initiative run by the European Information Centre be funded by the Council at a cost of £3,000 per annum on a one year trial basis, to be met from within existing budgets.
