V27-142 : PROFIT SHARE 1998/99

The report of the Director of Waveney Contract Services set out proposals to pay a profit share to employees for 1998/99, in accordance with previously agreed policies. The Director advised that the Leisure account had only achieved a small surplus, which was insufficient to pay a profit share to all employees engaged with this trading account. However, the surplus achieved by the Yacht Stations led to the overall minimal surplus on this account, and it was proposed that these employees only receive profit share, which could be sustained by the account.

RESOLVED

1. That a profit share be paid in accordance with the proposals set out in the report of the Director of Waveney Contract Services.

2. That the Director of Waveney Contract Services be asked to submit to an appropriate meeting a report setting out the issues which will need to be considered in connection with the preparation of refuse and street cleaning contracts, the current ones of which come to an end in December 1999.
