V27-1387 : CORPORATE TRAINING PLAN 2000/01

The report of the Director of Central Services set out the proposed Corporate Training Plan for 2000/01. It also examined the strengths and weaknesses of the plan adopted for 1999/2000, identified areas for improvement and gave details of a monitoring exercise conducted into the effectiveness of training with recommendations for changes in future evaluation.

RECOMMENDED

1. That the Corporate Training Plan for 2000/01 be approved.

2. That a further report detailing member training be brought forward once details of the new political structure of the authority have been agreed.

3. That the changes to the course evaluation forms proposed in Appendix 3 of the report of the Director of Central Services be implemented for the 2000/01 Training Plan, and the staff reminded of the importance of their completion.
