V27-1383 : 5 GREEN DRIVE, LOWESTOFT - TREE PRESERVATION ORDER NUMBER 293
The report of the Director of Planning and Building Control advised that the above Order was made on 18 February 2000 to protect a mature oak tree located in the rear garden of the above property. The owner objected to the Order because of the degree of shade created, and did not consider the tree to be of importance.
Few other trees existed within this residential area, and to lose this excellent oak tree would severely reduce the amenity of the area. The owner's objections were not considered strong enough not to confirm the Order.
RESOLVED
That Tree Preservation Order Number 293, 5 Green Drive, Lowestoft, be confirmed. The meeting was concluded at 9.20pm.
