V27-1377 : W17434/1 - SEA WALL BELOW BAKERS SCORE, CORTON

Application for sea wall repairs.

The report of the Director of Planning and Building Control reminded members that minute V27-1063 gave permission to construct a revetment rock structure against the failed sea wall and the replacement of a groyne with a new rock structure. The present application related to the repair of the sea wall itself, as it was not possible to repair like for like due to the challenging nature of the works and extreme access difficulties to the site itself. The Director recommended approval subject to no sustainable objections being received.

RESOLVED

That for the purposes of paragraph 4(5) of the Town and Country Planning General Regulations 1976, the Director of Planning and Building Control be given delegated authority to grant deemed planning permission to application W17434/1, subject to no sustainable objections of substance emerging before the expiration of the consultation period.
