Application for change of use to Indian takeaway.

The report of the Director of Planning and Building Control reminded members that the above application had been deferred at the last meeting of the Committee for a full report from the Director of Housing and Environmental Services on the proposed ventilation system.

This report had now been received and recommended refusal of the proposal on the grounds that it would not be possible to control odours, fumes and noise in this location sufficiently to overcome adverse effects upon the amenities of nearby dwellings. The Town Council also recommended refusal, and objections had been received from neighbours. The Director of Planning and Building Control now recommended refusal.

RESOLVED

That planning permission be refused to application W174766.
