V27-1355 : UNTIDY LAND NOTICES
The report of the Chief Executive reminded members that execution of the above had to be approved by the Development Control Committee. A number of recent instances saw Notices served and complied with but the property then allowed to deteriorate again to the stage where a further notice had to be served.
Currently, once the initial Notice had been complied with it ceased to have effect and further Committee authority was necessary to enable a second or subsequent notice to be served. In order to accelerate these circumstances it would be more efficient for the Committee to give delegated authority to the Chief Executive to take all necessary action including the service of further notices.
RESOLVED
That the Chief Executive be given delegated authority to take all necessary action, including the serving of notices under Section 215 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990, in the event that a notice has previously been authorised by the Development Control Committee which has been complied with and further action in respect of the same property has become necessary.
