V27-1345 : W17465 - ST MICHAEL'S CHURCH PLAYING FIELD, CHURCH LANE, LOWESTOFT

Application for the erection of a storage container and removal of pavilion.

The report of the Director of Planning and Building Control detailed plans for a green glass fibre construction in the north west corner of the site, for storage purposes, to replace the existing wooden pavilion currently situated at the middle of the east side.

Although the container would be well screened by existing vegetation, the Director was concerned that even a temporary permission would see the structure remain for a long time, next to what was a well maintained churchyard.

RESOLVED

That planning permission be refused to application W17465, and the Director of Planning and Building Control be given delegated authority to approve an amended application for a wooden structure.
