V27-129 : STREET TRADING

The report of the Director of Housing and Environmental Services outlined proposals for amendments to the scheme for the Licensing of Trading in Streets considered at minute V26- 1364, following statutory consultation.

Further late suggestions for designation of streets were circulated at the meeting, together with a letter querying the cost of Licenses and Consents in relation to existing market stalls. Members were concerned that the costing issues had not been fully addressed and felt that the Licensing Panel should address this and remaining issues.

RESOLVED

That the Licensing Panel be convened to address the remaining issues regarding Street Trading Consent and Licence Streets in conjunction with the Chairman of this Committee, their decisions to be brought back to a special meeting of this Committee to be held on 24 June 1999 for final ratification.
