V27-1283 : TRADING ACCOUNTS 1999/2000
The Director of Waveney Contract Services circulated a report showing the Trading Account position as at the end of February 2000. The Director was confident that the projected surplus of £150k overall would be achieved. However, the Highways account was unlikely to break-even and the year end target has been increased to a £50k deficit. He also advised that any surplus could be reduced by potential redundancy costs within the Department. Members asked the Director to prepare a report detailing the reasons for the deficit on the Highways Account once this information was available, and to present this report to the appropriate future forum following the political restructure.
RESOLVED
That the monitoring report on Trading Accounts be received.
