V27-1274 : ELECTRONIC GATES, PLAISIR PLACE, LOWESTOFT
The report of the Director of Housing and Environmental Services informed members that the Electronic Gates at Plaisir Place, Lowestoft, had broken down on many occasions and the contractor reported that a new motor was now required at a cost of approximately £1,000.
In view of the expenditure and given that the gates were only provided at this one sheltered scheme, the Committee was asked to review the position before any remedial work was undertaken.
RESOLVED
That the tenants of Plaisir Place be consulted to identify any possible compromise on the situation with the electronic gates.
