V27-1269 : SUMMER PLAY SCHEMES
The report of the Director of Housing and Environmental Services relayed successful feedback on 1999's holiday playscheme run by Action for Families. Four playschemes were attended by over 260 children of Council tenants. The doorstep project, a touring playscheme, was ran again on Council estates, with attendance as high as 38 in one location. The Council committed £17,000 to the 1999 holiday playschemes, and the same budget commitment had been made for 2000.
RESOLVED
That the Action for Families Summer Playscheme be continued in 2000/2001.
