V27-1239 : TENANCY DEPOSIT SCHEME
The report of the Director of Housing and Environmental Services dealt with an approach from the Department of the Environment, Transport and the Regions to participate in a Tenancy Deposit pilot scheme in Norfolk and neighbouring districts for a two year period commencing March 2000.
The scheme was aimed to resolve problems that private landlords and/or tenants had at the end of a tenancy. The housing ombudsman would determine such cases, not the Local Authority.
RESOLVED
That the Tenancy Deposit pilot scheme be supported for a two year period commencing March 2000.
