V27-1224 : MARITIME HERITAGE PROJECT

The report of the Director of Community Services outlined the contribution pledged from four bodies towards the feasibility study for the Maritime Heritage Project. Unfortunately two of the bodies had been unable to commit to their contributions. To enable the Go-East funding offer deadline to be met the Project had been scaled down to achieve as many of the original aims as possible using only contributions from the two remaining bodies, the South Eastern Museums Service and the Council.

RESOLVED

That the action of the Director of Community Services, in consultation with the Chairman, in signing the partnership agreement for the restructured Maritime Heritage Project, be confirmed.

(Councillor Gouldby declared an interest in the above item and left the room during the debate).
