V27-1221 : CRIME REDUCTION PROGRAMME - CLOSED CIRCUIT TELEVISION (CCTV) INITIAT

The report of the Director of Community Services informed members of the award of funding achieved as a result of recent bids to the Home Office for the provision of CCTV. It also detailed the implications of various options on the Capital and Revenue budgets and outlined the works necessary to achieve Secured Car Park Status.

RESOLVED

1. That the Home Office offer for the provision of CCTV in accordance with the documents covering Bid 2, sea front car parks, be accepted, subject to a revised implementation programme being agreed with Go-East before the Conditions of Grant are formalised, at a total revenue cost in the first year of £5,010 and thereafter £8,430 per year.

2. That a further report on Bid 1 be brought to the Committee when more information on the 2001/2002 Capital Programme is available.
